Mississauga Cycling Now!

▶ Bike Month

It began in Toronto as a Bike to Work Day celebration in 1989 and has evolved to become one of the largest events of its kind in Canada, now celebrated across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) plus Guelph.  Bike Month brings together families, artists, commuters and community groups to promote cycling at 100's of events all month.

Bike Month in the GTHA: May 30 - June 30, 2022

[Posted: May 30, 2022; *Updated* June 18, 2022]

TAKE THE PLEDGE: Starting May 30, residents of participating municipalities including Toronto, Oakville, Peel Region, and York Region are invited to participate by taking the Bike Month Pledge at BikeMonth.ca.  This year, the aim is to bike around the globe *twice* and save 30,000kg of greenhouse gas emissions.

Log all your rides until June 30.  Eligible participants will receive one contest entry for taking the Bike Month Pledge, plus one entry for each ride logged in the Kilometer Counter, up to a maximum of four logged rides for a total of five chances to win!  Separate prize draws will be made for each participating municipality.  List of prizes and more information here.
